Judging Criteria / Awards

 
*All entries will be adjudicated by 3-4 qualified judges.  The lowest score will always be dropped and the remaining scores tallied.  If the competition has 3 judges the lowest score will not be dropped.

*All decisions by the panel of judges will be final.  Judges score sheets and comments will be available for pick at the registration table at the conclusion of the days event.  These items will be given to the teacher only.

Overall Impression                                              10%

AWARDS

Platinum, High Gold, Gold, High Silver, Silver, and Bronze will be presented based on the following combined scores:

Platinum:      291-300

High Gold:    276-290

Gold:             261-275

High Silver:   246-260

Silver:            231-245

Bronze:         216-230


PLACEMENT AWARDS

In addition to adjudicated awards, a competitive 1st, 2nd, or 3rd place award will be given to the highest scoring Solo, Duo/Trio, and Group numbers in every age and performance division.

*Note, there must be at least 3 entries in each category for the placement awards to be given*


SPECIALTY AWARDS

Radiance Award: given to the entry that left the biggest impression on the judges
throughout both days of competition.

Best Dressed Award: given for the costume that not only caught the judges eye for it's  beauty but also for it's artistry and appropriateness.

High Score Soloist Award: given to the top scoring soloist in each age division
(not category).  These artists will be given a special award accolade.
